WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY SHOOT?
I provide an in-depth PDF guide for everyone who books a shoot. Generally, solid dark colors are a safe bet. Of course, wardrobe is personal, but I give guidelines to help you choose. And honestly, what people end up shooting in is often what they grabbed last minute-or even what they showed up wearing.
HOW MANY WARDROBE OPTIONS SHOULD I BRING?
Bring more than you think you'll need. If you don't bring it, we can't shoot it. I recommend bringing double the number of outfits based on your session. For example, if you're booked for two looks, bring at least four options. What looks great in person doesn't always read the same on camera.
WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?
Know what you want out of your session-come in with a goal and be ready to share it. Get plenty of sleep and drink water so you're well-rested and looking your best. Grooming matters too: prep your hair, facial hair, brows-whatever helps you feel polished. Try on outfits ahead of time to make sure everything fits and feels great.
DO YOU RECOMMEND HAIR AND MAKEUP FOR ME?
It depends. If you're comfortable doing your own makeup and you wear it regularly, you may not need a professional. But remember, we're taking close-up photos under bright studio lights. Makeup for photography is different from everyday makeup-we often apply more because the lights and camera soften it. If you don't normally wear makeup, a professional can make a huge difference in enhancing your features. Same goes for hair-a stylist can take your headshot to the next level.

HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Without hair and makeup, a session is typically about an hour. With hair and makeup included, it ranges from an hour and a half to two and a half hours.
WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO LOCATED?
My studio is located in Fairfax, Virginia, right next to the Mosaic District.
CAN I CHOOSE A LOCATION OTHER THAN YOUR STUDIO?
Absolutely. I have two studio locations, and I can also shoot on-location-whether that's your office, an outdoor spot, or another space you love.
WHAT BACKGROUNDS CAN I CHOOSE FROM IN THE STUDIO?
In-studio options include solid colors like white, gray, black, navy, red, purple, and more. If you're looking for something unique or brand-specific, I offer custom AI-generated digital backgrounds-virtually any environment or vibe you're after, we can create.
DOES MY HEADSHOT HAVE TO BE JUST HEAD/SHOULDERS?
A headshot is typically from the shoulders or bust up, and that's the focus of my headshot sessions. However, I also offer branding image add-ons, which can include three-quarter or full-body shots if that's what you're looking for.

HOW LONG UNTIL I GET MY FINAL RETOUCHED IMAGES?
Standard turnaround is 7 to 10 business days. If you're in a hurry, I also offer expedited options-images can be delivered in 24 or 48 hours.
CAN I PURCHASE THE RETOUCHED GALLERY OF IMAGES?
Actually, I don't offer unretouched galleries for purchase. The proof images are meant for selection only-they're unfinished and not a polished representation of my work. Most clients don't want to use unretouched photos anyway, so I only deliver final, retouched images.
WHERE CAN I GET PRINTS?
Honestly, you can get prints just about anywhere, but if you're looking for great quality, I recommend BayPhoto.com.
